  I hope it never happens. At the end of the day most of these athletes aren’t going to play professional sports, so developing them as people should still be priority No. 1 for the school, especially Notre Dame. Having student-athletes in normal dorms is good for them in the long run.

  I’ve never understood the attractiveness of an athletic dorm. If I were a college athlete I wouldn’t want to be segregated from the entire student body and treated like some hot house flower. It has to help the ND players in many, many ways to live with and like the rest of the students. How would it help the athlete even if he is a future NFL draft choice to live entirely with nobody but others exactly like him (or her)?
